Adobe Photoshop CS3 Tutorials

Adobe Photoshop is well known as a high quality software package for working with bitmap and raster graphic images. It’s not just that it’s probably the market leading program of this type, many people would say it’s the defacto standard among graphic design professionals for creating, editing and manipulating raster images.

At the time of writing, the latest version of Adobe Photoshop is known by the label CS3. CS3 stands for “Creative Suite 3″, also refers to various bundles of design and development software programs that are available from Adobe Systems Incorporated. There are in fact several different CS3 bundles available, most but not all of which, include a version of either Adobe Photoshop CS3 or Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. It should also be noted that versions of the CS3 packages are available for both Apple Macintosh computers (which are of course very popular with graphic designers and other creative professionals) and for PCs running the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Broadly speaking, each of the products contained within the CS3 bundles, including, of course, Adobe Photoshop, is mainly intended for professional use. While that certainly should not (and does not) exclude ordinary folks from using the software, it does mean that if you want to get the most out of the software, you should get proper training. By proper training, I don’t necessarily mean going to training classes (although that is an option) – books, software training courses, DVDs or Internet web sites about Photoshop are all reasonable alternatives – they key thing is to have some good quality material available that teaches the program.
